The director of The Last of Us of HBO reveals launch window

The next The last of us the television series on HBO has been filming during most of the last year, but fans still have to know when the program will really debut. While HBOs have already made it clear that the series will not arrive within this calendar year, a more defined window for launch has not yet been defined. Fortunately, thanks to a new statement by one of the directors who worked in _The last of us - now we have a better idea of when we can finally see the program.

In a new director of Kantemir Balagov, who directed the pilot episode of The last of us, he indicated when the series will be released in HBO. While he acknowledged that the program is still in the process of production, Balagov said that, according to his own understanding, he will launch "at the beginning of next year." Beyond this, he also recognized how important it was for him to work in The last of us since the video game series on which the program "has a special place on my heart" is based.

In a general sense, many fans were already assumed that the beginning of 2023 would be the window in which the last of us would end up coming to HBO, but the Balagov declaration only confirms those estimates. Although it is difficult to know what could be "early", it seems likely that a premiere at some point between January and March next year will be more feasible.

In the short term, in what many fans are more focused on is to see a trailer of The last of us. While some images and many program leaks have been shared, HBO has not yet shown a teaser video of any kind for the series. However, as 2022 progresses, it seems almost guaranteed that this first trailer will be launched at some point in the coming months.
