The rumors of Sly Cooper 5 earn land after a recent PlayStation ad

In recent weeks, new rumors have begun to emerge that a new delivery of the Sly Cooper Long-term Franchise of PlayStation could be arriving for PlayStation 5. At this time, those rumors have not been verified in any way, but a Recent commercial that has been released by PlayStation makes some fans believe that a potential Sly Cooper 5 could definitely be on cards based on an Easter egg that is shown in the advertisement.

No Cap (Ep. 1): Pack & Play w/ Koogs! MLB the Show 19 Diamond Dynasty To start the recent Sony PlayStation Showcase event, a new commercial was launched (which can be seen at the top of this page) that presented a series of callbacks to the popular PlayStation franchises of the past. While many of the most direct call returns that are seen in the video were related to PS5 games, several other surprises related to some series that we have not seen or listened in quite some time were hidden. One of those secrets that was included was related to Sly Cooper. Although the reference to PlayStation's popular mascot was not even shown for a full second in the video, you can clearly distinguish the iconic symbol that represents Sly and the band of thieves colleagues on the commercial.

While there is a good chance that PlayStation has included this reference to Sly Cooper simply by fun, the fact that Sony is pointing to Sly in the midst of these rumors has definitely made some fans raise their eyebrows. And even if this callback of Sly does not mean anything at all, at this point, fans of the franchise have long have the hope that it comes from. After all, it has not been seen or had SLY news since 2013 when Sly Cooper: thieves in time was released on PS3. It may be desperate to wait for a resurgence of Sly based alone in this advance, but for good or for evil, this is the most open way in which PlayStation has publicly recognized the character in quite some time.

So, what do you think about this situation? Does this reference to Sly Cooper of PlayStation simply intend to be an Easter egg, or could it indicate that a new entry is being developed for PS5? Let me know all the thoughts of it in the comments or send me a message on Twitter a @ mooreman12.
